Chris Peterson has joined the Aurora University Athletic Department for the 2021-2022 academic school year as a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach.
Peterson recently completed his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at Grand Valley State University in Michigan.
Before coming to AU, Peterson spent the 2021 Spring semester as an intern at Central Michigan University, assisting primarily with the Football program and all other Division I varsity sports teams. Peterson assisted in operating and collecting GPS tracking data during football practices via Catapult.
Peterson will be volunteering at West Aurora High School strength and conditioning during his time at Aurora University.
These experiences have provided Peterson exposure to a range of sports technology including metabolic testing equipment, Tendo Power Units, Bod Pod, and GPS tracking systems. Peterson is certified through the NSCA as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
