Michael Freeze has joined the Aurora University Athletic Department for the 2020-2021 academic school year as a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. Freeze be heading the strength and conditioning of seven varsity sports teams at AU while assisting with the training and program designs of the other 17 varsity sports teams.
Freeze recently completed his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at North Park University in Chicago where he was acknowledged as the Class of 2020 Most Distinguished Male Senior and the Department of Exercise and Sports Most Outstanding Student. Freeze also competed in NCAA Division III athletics as a member of North Park University Baseball.
In the field of Strength and Conditioning, Freeze spent the summer of 2019 as an intern strength coach for Acceleration Sports Performance in Naperville, IL. Freeze then spent the 2019-2020 year as an intern strength coach at Loyola University Chicago where he assisted all Division I Intercollegiate athletics, and was responsible for the program design and training for Men’s and Women’s Golf. During the 2019-2020-year, Freeze also served as the full-time intern strength coach for North Park University Softball program where he was responsible for program design and training for the team.
These experiences have provided Freeze with exposure to a range of sports technology including over-speed treadmills, Blaze Pods, Tendo Power Unit, GymAware, and GPS tracking systems as well as exposure to a wide variety of athletes spanning many sports and skill levels.
