Kara Cayton joined the AU coaching staff for the 2014-2015 season as the assistant coach.
 

Cayton graduated from Cedarville University in 2012 with a degree in Organizational Communications. She completed four years of varsity basketball at Cedarville where she also served as team captain for the 2011-2012 season. Cayton received freshman all conference recognition, most improved as a junior and was the teams defensive player of the year as a senior. She currently sits third all-time in three-pointers made and 10th in career assists.

She was the head girl’s Jr. High basketball coach at Minford Middle school, where she led the team to an outstanding season with a record of 47-13. Cayton also served as the assistant coach for the girl’s high school varsity team.
