Ryan Rebsom became the 18th Head Coach of the Aurora University women's basketball program in March, 2018.
Rebsom was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Women's Basketball South Division Coach of the Year, becoming the first Coach in the NACC to earn that honor on the men's and women's sidelines. His Spartan teams won 20 games in the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 seasons, becoming just the third and fourth AU women's basketball teams in school history to surpass the 20 win plateau.
Rebsom joined the Aurora University family prior to the 2016-2017 season a the men's basketball staff assistant coach and also served as the Assistant Sports Information Director. In his two seasons with the AU men's basketball program, the Spartans had a 37-18 overall record with a 31-9 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference mark with one NACC Championship and an appearance in the 2018 NCAA Division III Tournament.
He came to AU after a brief departure away from collegiate coaching but spent 10 seasons at Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference opponent Rockford University as the Regents Head Coach. Rebsom was the 2008-2009 NACC Coach of the Year, where he coached 15 All Conference selections, 17 different player of the week award winners, and an All Region selection. Rebsom's team accolades include numerous individual player and team records throughout his tenure.
A Montana native and graduate of the University of Montana-Western, Rebsom earned his bachelors degree in English. He played four seasons as a member of the UMW men's basketball team, where he was a two-time all-conference selection and earned all-region accolades as a junior.
Rebsom and his wife Rachel have two daughters, Rhylen and Renley.
