Lauren Rippy

Lauren Rippy was tabbed to lead the building of AU’s newest athletic program, which began play in the spring of 2013.

In her one season, AU had a 5-10 overall record and 3-5 in the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference.

Rippy comes to AU from Neuqua Valley High School where she spent the last seven seasons as the head coach for the Wildcat’s women’s lacrosse program. Rippy led Neuqua Valley to six conference championships in seven seasons and held a record of 98-39-3. During her time coaching at Neuqua Valley, Rippy was teaching physical education at Bolingbrook High School.

Additionally, Rippy has served as an NCAA Lacrosse official since 2000 and is a United States Level 1 certified coach. She has spent the last seven years as a director at Players Lacrosse Club in Naperville, Ill.

She is a member of the Illinois High School Women’s Lacrosse Association where she served as the DuPage Upstate 8 Conference chair and helped train, develop and rate officials for US Lacrosse.

Rippy earned a bachelor’s degree in communication studies (1996) from Texas Tech University and a master’s degree in physical education (2004) from Eastern Illinois University.
