Morgan Stenson joined the Aurora University Athletic Department as the Assistant Director of Athletics for Compliance and Business Operations  / Senior Woman Administrator in the spring of 2022.

She came to AU after five years at Lewis University where she started as a graduate assistant for Compliance and then transitioned to the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance.

Stenson also served on the Gender Equity Committee, Intercollegiate Athletic Advisory Committee, Athletic Oversight Committee, NCAA Certification and Eligibility Committee, and leads organized community engagement activities as a staff advisor for Student-Athlete Advisory Committee at Lewis.
 
Stenson has established leadership in athletics through student-athlete development, conference service, compliance, and campus engagement.
After receiving the Dale Carnegie Leadership Training for Managers Innovation Award, Stenson was selected to participate in the Women Leaders in Sports Institute for Advancement in 2023 and later the NCAA Division III Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) Program in 2025. She has also served as a WeCOACH mentor for emerging female coaches.

Serving as the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) advisor from 2022-2026, Stenson led numerous initiatives. AU's SAAC earned conference-leading performances in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Cans Across the Conference campaign during both the 2024-25 and 2025-26 academic years, contributing to the university's runner-up finish for the annual NADIIIAA Community Service Award. In 2025, AU SAAC also organized a record-setting Project Linus initiative, creating 155 blankets for donation to the Waterford Place Cancer Resource Center in Aurora.

Stenson has also spearheaded conference-wide mental health awareness programming and launched the inaugural NACC National Girls and Women in Sports Day celebration, which has since become an annual opportunity for networking and professional development for women across the conference.

In addition to serving as NACC Compliance Chair through 2027, Stenson was appointed to the NCAA Men's and Women's Ice Hockey Rules Committee through 2028. On campus, she represents athletics on the CARE Team, Student Life Committee, Institutional Effectiveness Committee, and Data Governance Working Committee, helping strengthen collaboration between athletics and the university community.

She earned her B.A. in Psychology from Illinois Wesleyan University in 2017, where she also played four years on the women's volleyball team. She went on to receive her M.A. in School Counseling from Lewis University in December 2020. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Illinois.
