Aurora University junior guard Marious Lobdell (Peoria, Ill./Manual H.S.) was named the Northern Athletics Conference Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending December 23, 2012.

Lobdell led the Spartans to a 3-0 week while extending the team's winning streak to nine games. He averaged 19.0 points in the three games while dishing out 5.3 assists and grabbing 5.0 rebounds. In AU's 86-82 win over Presentation College in the Las Vegas D3 Shootout, Lobdell had 28 points on 10-of-19 shooting from the field which included four-of-eight from three-point range.

On the season, Lobdell is averaging a team-high 16.2 points per game, while averaging 3.3 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game for the Spartans, 9-3 overall and 4-0 in the NAC. Next action for Lobdell and the Spartan men's basketball team comes on Saturday, December 29 when they travel to Hope College. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. (est) in Holland, Mich.
