Aurora University softball senior catcher Tristan Wilcox (Lafayette, Ind./McCutcheon H.S.) was named Northern Athletics Conference Softball Position Player of the Week for the week ending April 14, 2013.
Wilcox helped the Spartans to a 4-0 week with doubleheader sweeps of Milwaukee School of Engineering (10-2 and 26-0) and Concordia University Wisconsin (9-1 and 11-1). She hit .583 with a grand-slam home run, a triple, a double, five runs scored and eight runs batted in. Additionally, she had a 1.167 slugging percentage and a .615 on-base percentage on the week.
On the 2013 season, Wilcox is hitting .437 with a team-leading seven home runs, eight doubles, one triple, 26 runs batted in and 18 runs scored. She has a .873 slugging percentage and a .524 on-base percentage.
Next action for the Spartan softball team is scheduled for Tuesday, April 16 when they host Dominican University. Game one is set for 3:00 p.m. at the Stuart Sports Complex in Montgomery, Ill.
