Aurora University Athletics

Throughout the 2020-2021 year, the Aurora University athletic department will highlight the senior student-athletes. The seniors will provide some insight to their time at AU while getting to know them as individuals they have grown into in their time as a Spartan.
 
Senior Spotlight:  Zyshonne  Zy Boykins (Football)
Major: Sport Management and Business Administration
What are your plans after graduation? Opening my retail store.
What is your most memorable/best academic experience at AU? Finishing my freshman year with 3.5 grade point average.
What is your most memorable athletic moment at AU? Being with the guys and going to the playoffs winning conference!
Other than the sport(s) you play; what other sports activity are you good at? Track.
Outside of sports, what is your favorite hobby or activity? Selling shoes, playing madden and 2k.
What AU faculty or staff member had the greatest impact on you and why? The entire football coaching staff. Most honest and loving coaches.
What do you enjoy most and least about practice? Being with the boys is the best thing but leaving the field after practice is the least.
Do you have any pregame rituals? Turning up with the guys.
What advice would you give to underclassmen at AU? Have fun! Take care of business and work hard.
If you had to listen to one song on repeat forever, what would it be and why? All of Youngboy songs! He is the hardest out.
If you could spend an hour each with three people (past or present), who would you choose and why? Keion Adams and Austin Warrich. They are my brothers! We built a bond like no other.
