The Aurora University football junior wide receiver Trey Madsen garnered national recognition today when D3football.com named him to the Team of the Week.

Madsen caught an AU single game record 19 passes for 164 yards and scored three touchdowns in the Spartans' 39-28 victory at Concordia University (Wis.). The win clinched the outright NACC title for AU. On the season, he leads AU with 55 catches for 654 yards and nine touchdowns.

On the season, AU is 8-2 overall and 8-0 in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference while averaging 235.2 yards per game rushing, 263.8 yards per game passing and scoring 46.4 points per game.
