Aurora University women's hockey senior goaltender Chiara Pfosi was named the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Defensive Player of the Week following AU's weekend series sweep of Concordia University Wisconsin.
 
Pfosi, makes it back-to-back and becomes the first league student-athlete to earn NCHA Defensive Player of the Week honors three times this season after she again put in an undefeated performance to help the team improve to 10-2-0. She posted her fourth shutout of the winter Saturday, a 28-save outing that resulted in a 3-0 victory at Concordia Wisconsin. The shutout win came after a tight 3-2 decision on Friday night. In 120 minutes in net on the weekend, she made 57 saves in the 59 shots sent her way - a .966 save percentage.
 
Next action for the Spartan women's hockey team comes on Friday, January 7, 2022 when they travel to Northland College. Puck drop is set for 7:00 p.m. in Ashland, Wisconsin.
