Aurora University women's hockey student-athlete Chiara Pfosi was named the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Defensive Player of the Week following AU's 3-0 week in NCHA play.

Pfosi picks up her fifth NCHA Defensive Player of the Week honors this season, marking the first time that has been accomplished since the 2014-15 campaign. Pfosi went a perfect 3-0 on the week to help keep Aurora in the NCHA race, starting with that key 2-1 victory over St. Norbert on Monday in which she made 28 saves. She allowed just two goals in the three contests, while picking up her seventh shutout of the season in a 2-0 victory over Marian Saturday. For the week, she posted 67 total saves, a 0.67 goals-against average, and a .971 save percentage as the Spartans improved to an impressive 18-3-0 on the season and 10-3 in conference matchups. She now has 10 of the weekly NCHA honors in her career, second all-time to Adrian's Jade Walsh (2013-17), who had 12 and was the last 5X honoree as well.
 
Next action for the Spartan women's hockey team comes on Saturday, February 12 when they travel to Adrian College. Puck drop is set for 6:00 p.m. (cst) / 7:00 p.m. (est) in Adrian, Michigan.
