Aurora University junior defensive back Ben Slatcoff was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Football Defensive Players of the Week as selected by a panel of the NACC Athletic Communication professionals.

Slatcoff helped the Spartans to a 28-6 home victory over St. Norbert College. In the winning effort, Slatcoff single handedly stopped three potential scoring drives for St. Norbert in Aurora's 28-6 win. He intercepted a pass in the end zone to stop one drive, had a pass breakup on a fourth-and-goal to halt another drive, and then blocked a field goal attempt just before halftime. Slatcoff finished the day with eight tackles, including five solo stops.

On the season, Slatcoff has five interceptions which is tied for most on the AU defense and sixth most in Division III. He also adds 30 tackles, five pass break-ups and a blocked kick to his resume.
