Aurora University junior Deedee Colon Maldonado repeated as the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Indoor Track and Field Student-Athlete of the Week, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals.

Colon Maldonado earned the honor after she broke her own NACC and Aurora records in the 3,000-meter run with a blistering time of 9:43.34 at the 2024 Blue Demon Alumni Classic hosted by DePaul University. She finished seventh in the race littered with NCAA Division I competitors. Colon Maldonado's time bettered her previous record (9:57.71) set on Jan. 19 by 14 seconds. In the span of eight days, Colon Maldonado dropped 30.05 seconds off the previous NACC record. Her performance currently ranks fourth in NCAA Division III.

Next action for the Spartan women's track and field team comes on Friday, February 2 when they travel to the DIII Keck Select meet hosted by Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois.
