Aurora University football defensive back Quintarius Davis was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Football Defensive Player of the Week as selected by a panel of the NACC Athletic Communication professionals.

Davis scored a defensive touchdown in AU's 49-0 shutout victory over St. Norbert. He returned an interception 30 yards for a score to put the Spartans up 14-0 in the first quarter, the pick-six being his second of the season. Then later in the game he scooped up a fumble and returned it 60 yards into the red zone. Davis also added two tackles, including a tackle for loss against the Green Knights. 

On the season, Davis has two interceptions with two touchdowns, a fumble recovery, 10 tackles and four pass break-ups.

Next action for the Spartan football team comes on Saturday, September 28 when they host Concordia University Chicago on AU Homecoming. Kick-off is slated for 1:00 p.m. on Vago Field in Aurora, Illinois.
