Aurora University football quarterback Tyler Adkins was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Football Offensive Player of the Week as selected by a panel of the NACC Athletic Communication professionals.

Adkins led the Aurora offensive attack in the Spartans' NACC title-clinching victory over rival Benedictine. Adkins went 30-of-41 passing for 389 yards and six touchdowns. He also added 59 yards on the ground on eight rushes. The 56-20 win gave AU its sixth-straight NACC title and was the Spartans' 45th consecutive league victory.

On the season, Adkins is 165-of-261 passing for 2,376 yards and 31 touchdowns with 10 interceptions. He is averaging 264 yards passing per game for the (8-1 overall and 7-0 NACC) Spartans. On the ground he has rushed for 345 yards and scored five touchdowns.

Next action for the Spartan football team comes on Saturday, November 9 when they travel to Eureka College. Kick-off is slated for 6:00 p.m. in Eureka, Illinois.
