The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) has announced its 3 Stars of the Week. AU Spartan men's hockey forward Landry Schmuck was named one of the three stars of the week.

Schumck earned the recognition after he began the season with a four-point weekend (three goals, one assist) to help the Spartans win games over UW-Stevens Point and Augsburg. The freshman began the season by assisting on the opening goal of AU's season. He then scored his first career goal at 9:51 in the 2nd period. Against Augsburg he lit the lamp twice, including the game-winner in overtime. The Huntsville, Ala., native had the equalizer at 13:24 in the 3rd period before sending his team into celebration at 0:37 into overtime.

Next scheduled action for the Spartan men's hockey team comes on Friday, November 8 when they travel to Lake Forest College. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in Lake Forest, Illinois.
