Aurora, Ill., May 3, 2011 (www.aurora.edu) – Aurora University Spartan men’s outdoor track and field thrower sophomore Eric Capshaw (Plano, Ill./Plano H.S.) was named Northern Athletics Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending May 1, 2011. 
 
Competing in the outdoor portion of the Spartans’ schedule, Capshaw won the shot put at the Benedictine University Twilight meet with a throw of 14.15 meters, finished third with a school record in the javelin (48.92 meters) and was 13th in the hammer throw (42.10 meters).
 
Next action for Capshaw and the Spartan men's track and field team comes on Friday and Saturday, May 6 and 7, 2011, when they travel to the Northern Athletics Conference Championships hosted at Benedictine University.  Meet time is set for 3:00 p.m. on Friday and 11:00 a.m. on Saturday in Lisle, Ill.
