Box Score The Aurora University men's lacrosse team opened the home portion of the 2013 schedule Wednesday afternoon on Vago Field against Midwest Lacrosse Conference foe Milwaukee School of Engineering.
AU jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, en route to a 34-0 victory. The Spartans led 37 seconds into the game on a junior
Justin Bose goal and before the first quarter was finished, AU had a 17-0 lead. 12 different Spartans scored a goal in the opening quarter, led by sophomore
Max Obriecht who had three of his five goals in the opening frame.
The host Spartans let off the accelerator for the remainder of the game, scoring six times in the second quarter for a 23-0 halftime lead. AU scored four times in the third quarter and seven in the final quarter for the eventual 34-0 win.
In all, 17 different Spartans scored a goal with Obriecht and sophomore
Ryan Stow having five each. Five Spartans had five or more points on the day, Obriecht (nine - five goals and four assists), sophomore

AU moved the ball around with 14 Spartans having an assist. Junior
Adam Holka earned the win in goal, stopping four shots in 35 minutes of action.
The scoring on the day moved AU into the NCAA Division III record books for points, goals and assists in a game. The 62 points is tied for second, the 28 assists is second all-time and the 34 goals is tied for seventh.
With the win, AU is now 2-3 overall and 1-0 in the MLC. Next action for the Spartan men's lacrosse team comes on Saturday, March 16 when they host Hanover College. Game time is set for noon on Vago Field.
