Box Score AU's Vago Field saw the Spartan women's lacrosse team host the Lady Reds CarthageCollege in a Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference match-up Saturday morning. Carthage would go on the defeat the Spartans 17-3.
The visitors took a 4-0 lead in the first five minutes of the game and never looked back as the Spartans fought hard but were unable to muster up enough offense to stay with the opponent.

Gabby Rowe tallied the Spartans first goal at 24:39 in the first-half to make the game a 4-1 advantage for Carthage.

Jordan Nielsen scored with 3:33 remaining in the first-half to cut the Carthage lead to 10-2.
