Aiming to extend their unbeaten streak to 10 games, the Aurora University women's soccer team traveled north to Concordia University Wisconsin for a key Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference match up. The Spartans came away successful with a 2-1 win.

Nicci Bermudes put the Spartans ahead 11:40 into the game when she tallied her 21st goal of the season from 20 yards out.
The Spartans went on to out shoot Concordia seven to four in the first half with AU holding a 1-0 lead going into halftime.
In the 66th minute, Bermudes added a point to her season total when she assisted on a breakaway goal by senior
Brittany Roydhouse. The goal gave AU a 2-0 lead.
With just over one minute to play in the game, Concordia scored to cut the AU lead to 2-1. In the final seconds, Spartan goalkeeper
Rachael Warnock made a save to preserve the win for the Spartans.
With the win, AU is now 10-3-1 overall and 6-0 in the NACC. Next action for the Spartan women's soccer team comes on
Tuesday, October 14 when they host Milwaukee School of Engineering. Game time is set for 3:00 p.m. on Vago Field.
