In the final regular season contest of the 2014 season, the Aurora University volleyball team traveled to the Illinois Institute of Technology on Halloween night. AU swept the game, winning 3-0 (25-18, 25-18, 25-22).
AU jumped out early over IIT and would not look back enroute to the 3-0 win.
Peyton McKenzie (10 kills) and
Lindsey Wille (eight kills) led the offense with
Destiny Stuersel (17 assists) and
Lexi O'Boyle (14 assists) pacing the hitting attack.
Andrea Kappelman had 18 digs in the winning effort.
With the win, AU is now 22-11 overall and 7-4 in the NACC. Next action for the Spartan volleyball team comes on
Tuesday, November 4 when they host Lakeland College in the opening round of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. in Thornton Gymnasium
