The Aurora University women's basketball team took to the road for a Northern Athletics Colelgiate Conference match up at WIsconsin Lutheran College on Saturday afternoon. AU hung tough with the defending NACC champions but fell just short with a 63-58 final score.

Shannon Koski had a huge game for the Spartans, scoring 36 points which tied her for the game high mark.
The first-half saw the Spartans and Warriors battle back and forth with both teams having leads and Wisconsin Lutheran held a 33-32 lead at halftime.
To start the second half the host Warriors started out on an 11-0 run and took a 12 point lead (44-32) just over three minutes into the half. But the Spartans were not going to go away quietly. Down 10 with 12:45 to go, AU embarked on a 7-0 run, all scored by Koski to cut the lead to three.
The Spartans trailed by seven (60-53) with two minutes to play but got two free throws from senior
Neely Marks and a three-ball from Koski to cut the lead to two (60-58) with eight seconds to play. But Wisconsin Lutheran made three out of four free throws in the final seconds to seal the win.
With the loss, AU is now 0-7 overall and 0-3 in the NACC. Next action for the Spartan women's basketball team comes on
Tuesday. December 9 when they host Rockford University. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. in Thornton Gymnasium.
