The Aurora University hockey team faced off against the Bradley University Braves sweeping the weekend series winning 11-4 at the Fox Valley Ice Arena.

AU jumped out to a early lead when Kevin Salinas found the back of the net with just 90 seconds into the first period off of an assist from Ryan Delvantes. Dalvantes would also tallied a goal just a few minutes after Salinas. A break away would give Jimmy Perkins his first goal of the night to bring the Spartans the 3-0 lead with just over 5 minutes left in the first period. The braves would battle to get their first goal of the night to bring the score to 3-1 with just over 2 minutes left.  Bryce Stenstrom was able to convert a bounced puck to put it in the back of the net to send the Spartans up 4-1 into the first intermission.

The Spartans picked up right where they left off a quick goal by Ryan Delvantes would extend the Spartans lead to 5-1 with just two minutes into the second period. AU would score five more times in the period to take the eight goal lead into the second intermission including another goal by Delvantes to successfully reach the hat trick. Goalie Paul Favaro shut down the Braves in the second period, stopping all of the ten shots.

Bradley started to chip away when a goal came just 4 minutes into the third period to bring the score to 10-3. AU answered quickly with a goal from Anthony road to seal the deal for the Spartans.

Paul Favaro finished the game with 20 saves.

With the win AU is now 33-2-1. Next action for the Spartans is when they host Purdue Boilmakers on February 21 and 22 at the Fox Valley Ice Arena.
