The Aurora University volleyball team traveled to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Wisconsin Lutheran College for the 2014 IIAC-NACC Challenge. The Spartans went 1-1 on the night, defeating the University of Dubuque 3-0 (25-16, 25-13, 25-17) before falling to Buena Vista University 3-0 (25-27, 24-26, 21-25).
For the second time this season the Spartans handled Dubuque 3-0 with freshman
Brooke Pylant leading the way for AU with nine kills and a .529 hit percentage and senior
Lexi O'Boyle had 16 assists.
In the second match of the night wth Buena Vista, AU played three tightly contested games but would fall in three sets. Pylant and
Peyton McKenzie each finished with eight kills.
With the split, AU has their six game win streak snapped and are now 14-6 overall on the season. Next action for the Spartan volleyball team comes on
Saturday, September 27 when they play in the IIAC-NACC Challenge at Wisconsin Lutheran College. AU takes on Central College (12:00 p.m.) and Simpson College (4:00 p.m.) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
