Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The Aurora University volleyball team went 1-1 in the first day of the 2014 North Park Viking Clash on Friday, September 5, losing to Central College 3-0 and defeating the host Vikings 3-0.

In the opening match against Central, AU fell behind early and could not overcome the Dutch, losing 25-13, 25-16, 25-21. Peyton McKenzie had eight of the 21 Spartan kills in the match.

In the second match against North Park, the Spartans rebounded well, defeating the Vikings 25-12, 25-21, 25-20. Brooke Pylant led AU with 11 kills, Alexis Hammond had eight, Lexi O'Boyle had 14 assists with Destiny Stuersel adding 12 assists.

With the split, AU is now 3-3 overall. Next action for the Spartan volleyball team comes on Saturday, September 6 when they play in day two of the North Park University Tournament. AU takes on North Central College (10:00 a.m.) and Marian University (12:00 p.m.) in Chicago, Illinois.
