The Aurora University men's track and field team traveled to the Phoenix Invitational at University of Chicago on Saturday, January 10 with the men placing second out of the seven teams.
For the sprints freshman
Camerhon Guyton placed third with a time of 7.07 in the 60m dash. Freshman
Bobby Cooks won the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.53 while sophomore
Taylor Coleman, other final AU qualifier placed fifth with a time of 8.97.
In the 200m dash Guvton ran time of 23.00 placing fourth. Other Spartans who competed in the 200m were sophomore
Jaylen Robinson (11

Kyle Kayzar won the 800m run with a time of 1:58.43 while freshman
Sean Ganey place ninth with a time of 2:17.37.
Matt Meyers took second in the mile run with a time of 4:33.52. Others who competed in the mile were freshman

The men's 4x400 meter relay team consisted of Kayzar, Meyers, Duncan, and Pitcock. They placed third with a time of 3:34.44. The men's second team consisted of Barrios, Jaros, Swanson and Robinson who placed sxith with a time of 3:45.57. The third team consisted of Deng, sophomore

In the men's high jump junior
Loren Iwanicki placed third with a jump of 1.92m. Others who competed in the high jump were Rudelich (fourth- 1.87m), freshman

Breaking the school record in the men's pole vault freshman
Sean Ganey placed fourth vaulting a height of 4.11m. Other Spartans who vaulted were freshman

Josiah Douglas placed fifth with a throw of 12.65 and freshman
Brandon Pichen placed seventh with a throw of 11.30m. Other shot putter in the top 10 included freshman

In the weight throw Gonzalez placed fifth throwing 11.11m and Pichen placed eighth with a throw of 9.38m. Other throwers included Douglas (ninth- 8.85m) and freshman
Cody Murtaugh (12
th- 6.78m).
