A wet and cool afternoon welcome the Aurora University Spartans and Wisconsin Lutheran College Warriors Saturday on AU's Vago Field. The Spartans won the turnover battle but a three minute offensive explosion late in the second half lifted the Warriors to a 21-14 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference win over AU.

HOW IT HAPPENEDAfter a
Kam Dawtyne interception and long return, the Spartans got a touchdown by
Brandon Evans at 11:00 in the second quarter.
Warriors got back to back touchdown passes from Gino DeGeorge to Mitch Skarban at 50 seconds apart late in the second quarter. After a missed extra point and two-point conversion, WLC led 12-7.
DeGeorge connected with Theo Belhomme at 0:26 just before halftime to lead 18-7.
After taking the second half kickoff, the Spartans got a touchdown run from
Jonathan Stokes at 10:36 in the third quarter.
Warrior field goal by Matt Grams midway through the third quarter concluded the games scoring.

BEYOND THE BOX SCOREKam Dawtyne had two interceptions for the Spartans which was two of four interceptions on the day.
Aurora forced six turnovers from the Warriors but had three of their own.

FOR THE SPARTANSBrandon Evans had 22 carries for 67 yards and a touchdown.
Jonathan Stokes had 18 rushes for 60 yards and a touchdown.
Geron Rogers threw the ball 26 times (11-26) for 117 yards.
Cody Patchett had 11 tackles and one interception on the day.
Kam Dawtyne had two interceptions and four tackles.

FOR THE FOESJared Bruemmer ran the ball 27 times for 110 yards.
Gino DeGeorge threw 30 passes (10-30) for 192 yards and three touchdowns.
Mitch Skarban caught four passes for 84 yards and two touchdowns.
Tanner Behnke had 11 tackles on the day.
