The Aurora University women's basketball team broke into the winning column on Saturday afternoon at Webster University, defeating the host Gorloks 56-46.

HOW IT HAPPENEDThe Spartans used a 16-4 first period to take control of the game early.
AU continued to shoot well from the field in the second period and held a lead at halftime 27-16.
Webster cut into the Spartan lead but got no closer than six with AU leading after three periods 37-30.
The Spartans saw the home Gorloks cut the lead to four (46-42) but used a 10-4 run in the final 2:15 to seal the victory 56-46.

Bethany Dorrington had 12 points and six rebounds.
Anna Roszkowski had 13 rebounds and four points.
Mallory Cast had 11 points.
