Spartans have tough night in loss to Benedictine

The Aurora University Spartans traveled to Benedictine University on Wednesday night and had a tough night after the first 10 minutes of the game, losing to the No. 7 Eagles 90-62.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Five minutes into the first-half the Spartans trailed BU 12-11.
A 9-0 run by Benedictine forced an AU timeout with 13:19 to play.
A 6-0 AU run cut the lead to four (21-17) midway through the half.
Benedictine then used a 20-1 run and built a 23 point lead at 41-18 with three minutes remaining.
AU trailed 50-25 at halftime.
The Spartans finished the second half and fell 90-62.

Quincy Jackson had 16 points.
Tyler Hall had 10 points.
 
FOR THE FOES
Adam Reynolds had 25 points.
Tim Reamer had 19 points and 12 rebounds.
Lucas Johnson had 11 points,16 rebounds and seven assists.
Tahron Harvey had 11 points and nine rebounds.

Next action for the Spartan men's basketball team comes on Saturday, December 19 when they travel Memphis, Tennessee to take on Maryville University (Tenn.) at the Rhodes College. Tip-off is set for 4:00 p.m. in Memphis.
