Aurora University men's golf student-athletes,
Ryan Harreld,
Sean Harreld and
Nick Pavlik volunteered with the Kids Golf Foundation at Rich Harvest Farms on May 9, 2015.
Each year the foundation hosts a mentoring event, Other Side Of The Green, that allows for junior golfers to be paired with a business professional in a career they are interest in to play nine-holes, and participate in a mentoring activity.
AU golfers each worked at a station and spent approximately an hour with each kid going over stretching, putting, chipping, hitting and the rules of the game. "We tried to relate everything to real life skills, and how the game of golf helps you outside of the course" said senior
Ryan Harreld.
The Kids Golf Foundation was built to bring the sport of golf into young children's lives, and give them an opportunity for personal growth along with career enhancement. The Foundation offers several programs that introduce the sport of golf, and the fundamentals of the sport including rules, history and etiquette.
