The Aurora University women's soccer team hosted the Wheaton College Thunder on Wednesday afternoon on Vago Field. The regional foes battled with Wheaton prevailing 3-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After a scoreless first half the Thunder opened up the scoring with a goal by Chelsea Gnan at 52:39.
The Thunder tallied again at 64:52 when Gnan netted a goal assisted by Morgan Whitman.
Wheaton scored their third goal of the game when Kristin Rauh had a breakaway at 73:06.
 
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
Key save for AU's Caitlin deRuiter in the 31^st minute to keep the game tied 0-0.
A couple of key saves for deRuiter in the 53^rd minute to keep AU in the contest.
The Spartans had seven shots on the day compared to Wheaton College's 21 shots
Aurora had their two-game win streak against Wheaton snapped.
