The Aurora University women's soccer team welcomed the Sabres of Marian University to Vago Field on Sunday afternoon. After falling behind early in the contest, AU roared back to win in commanding fashion, 5-1.

Nicci Bermudes tied the game at 10:49 with the first of her three goals on the day.
1:11 after the tying goal, Bermudes dished a pass to
Alexis Bejarano for a 2-1 AU lead.
Bermudes took a penalty kick at 38:40 following a hand ball in the box and was successful.
In the second half, Bermudes earned the hat trick at 65:06.
Hunter Coppes capped off the scoring at 76:09 with an assist from Bermudes      Â

BEYOND THE BOX SCOREThe Spartans led Marian in all statistical categories on the day.
AU is now 14-0 all-time against Marian.
The Spartans have now won 29 straight Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference games on Vago Field.
