A strong second half from senior
Nicci Bermudes and the Spartan women led the Aurora University women's soccer team to a 3-1 win at Benedictine University Wednesday night in Lisle, Illinois.

HOW IT HAPPENEDThe teams played to a scoreless tie entering halftime.
Nicci Bermudes snapped the scoreless tie 6:45 into the second half off a corner from
Hunter Coppes.
Bermudes added to the AU lead at 64:30. Her breakaway goal came from a pass from
Corynne McEachern.
Bermudes finished the hat trick with a goal off a cross from
Lorelei Ritzert.
With 2:02 left in the game, Benedictine broke the shutout attempt.
