The Aurora University women's basketball utilized a large second-half come back to defeat the Alverno College Inferno 69-63 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Tuesday night. The Spartans grabbed double-doubles from seniors
Bethany Dorrington and
Anna Roszkowski.

HOW IT HAPPENEDAU trailed by as many as seven in the first period but used a late rally to trail 19-16.
The second period was not kind to the Spartans who fell behind by double digits before heading to halftime down 10 at 40-30.
The Spartans opened the second half on a 11-4 run to cut the deficit to three at 44-41 with 5:12 left.
After Alverno built back up to a seven point lead, the Spartans ran off another run, this time an 8-0 run that gave them a 49-48 lead.
The teams then traded leads for the final three minutes and at the end of three, AU trailed by one at 54-53.
Alverno once again opened the fourth period like the previous periods on a run of 4-0 and built a five point lead.
The Spartans answered immediately with a 10-0 run and led by five with 3:18 to play.
AU went four for four from the free throw line down the stretch to seal the victory, 69-63.
BEYOND THE BOXAU out-rebounded Alverno 46 to 28.
The Spartans out scored Alverno 39-23 in the second-half.
AU had an 18-6 advantage in second chance points.
FOR THE SPARTANSBethany Dorrington had a double-double with 21 points, 11 rebounds and five assists.
Anna Roszkowski had a double-double of 12 points and 16 rebounds.
Kelly Evers had 17 points.
Ashley Wilk had 10 points and nine rebounds.
FOR THE FOESMackenzie Mathies had 16 points.
Donna Zehner had 15 points.
