A slow start and large first-half deficit proved to be too much for the Spartan women's basketball to overcome as they fell to the Raiders of Milwaukee School of Engineering on Saturday afternoon in Thornton Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENEDThe Raiders started the game with a 11-2 run but Aurora rallied for a 6-0 run to make the score 15-10 at the end of the first quarter with the Spartans trailing.
Midway through the second quarter MSOE went on a 9-1 run which helped them take a commanding 38-20 lead into halftime.
To start the second half off Aurora went on a 11-3 run and by the end of the third quarter narrowed the score to 51-38.
The Raiders went on a 10-2 run early in the fourth quarter which sealed the victory for them.

FOR THE SPARTANSAnna Roszkowski scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds.
Bethany Dorrington had six points, eight assists and five rebounds.
Mallory Cast had nine points.

FOR THE FOESHolly Denfeld scored 18 points and had eight rebounds.
Megan Kroll had 16 points.
