AU wins both matches at Jim Coleman Memorial Classic

The Aurora University women's volleyball team hosted the Jim Coleman Memorial Classic in Thornton Gymnasium on Saturday, October 15 and defeated North Central College 3-0 in Match 1 and Maranatha Baptist University in Match 2, 3-1.

FINAL SCORE:  Aurora University 3, North Central College 0 ( 25-18, 25-21, 25-21)
LOCATION: Thornton Gymnasium - Aurora, Illinois
RECORDS: Aurora University 20-8 overall and 7-1 in the NACC

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Spartans won all 3 sets against North Central College and led the entire first set after being behind 1-0 for the 25-18 victory.
In the second set, AU never trailed in the 25-21 victory.
The third set was also saw Aurora never trail and lead the entire set for the 25-21.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Spartans won the first set against Maranatha Baptist University and led the entire set for the 25-15 victory.
In the second set, AU never trailed and won going away 25-11.
The third set was back and forth action which saw Maranatha come from behind and pull away late for the 26-24 victory.
The fourth and deciding set was a battle with AU winning late 30-28.
