The Aurora University men's soccer team traveled east to River Forest to take on the Cougars of Concordia University Chicago. The Spartans came home victorious with a 3-1 defeat of the Cougars.

HOW IT HAPPENED
9:30 into the game, Spartan Collin Foreman stole the ball from a Cougar defender and sprinted in one on one with the CUC goalkeeper and beat him for a 1-0 AU lead.
The game would remain 1-0 heading into halftime with AU holding a 14-3 shot advantage.
AU extended the lead to 2-0 in the 57th minute when Ben Edith scored his 10th of the season with an assist from Nick Cataldi.
In the 68th minute a successful Concordia penalty kick ended the AU shutout bid.
With time running down, Spartan Xavier Ortiz found the back of the net off a free kick from 25 yards out. AU led 3-1 which would be the final tally.
