A pair of second-half goals less than a minute and a half a part led the Aurora University women's soccer team to a 5-2 victory over North Central College on Monday afternoon on Vago Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
In the 16th minute of the first half, AU opened the scoring when
Jasmine Ascencio scored with an assist from
Alexis Abelove.
North Central was able to tie the game in the 25th minute off a free kick that bounded free in front of the AU net and was tapped in for the tying goal.
Just before halftime, AU's Abelove scored off a throw in from
Hannah Scahill to give the Spartans a 2-1 lead going into halftime.
The teams traded chances early in the second-half before North Central struck again on a free kick. Spartan goalkeeper
Taylor Joiner made an initial save but could not corral the rebound and the loose ball was again tapped into the net, tying the game 2-2 in the 65th minute.
Just 30 seconds later, the Spartans responded. Emily Schillng scored her first career goal with an assist from
Kim Diaz.
AU was not done as they scored quickly again for a 4-2 lead. 1:20 later, Abelove scored her second of the day.
With 30 seconds left in the game, senior
Alyssa Mok headed a ball into the Cardinal net with a pass originating from
Jasmine Ascencio.
The Spartans win extends their win streak to a season best four games.
