HOW IT HAPPENED
The Spartans opened the contest with a 7-4 lead midway through the first quarter behind four points from Adriana Ramirez.
Elmhurst finished the quarter on a 10-4 run to take the lead 14-11 at the quarter break.
At the end of the first half, AU trailed 31-17.
The Spartans would trail 46-28 after three quarters.
Final score would see the Spartans fall 69-33.
