The Aurora University Spartan women's basketball team saw a third quarter come back attempt fall just short as AU lost at Lakeland University on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
AU jumped out to a 3-0 lead with a three from
Alyssa Brems.
The Spartans would trail 12-10 at the end of the first quarter.
Midway through the second quarter, AU trailed 21-16 after a lay-up from
Meija Rabi.
The host Muskies ended the half on a 7-0 run that found AU trailing 37-22 heading into halftime.
In the third, AU would cut into the deficit and late in the third trailed by five (49-44) following a Rabi basket.
The Spartans put up a battle in the fourth but just didn't have enough as they fell 68-59.

Adriana Ramirez had a game-high 27 points and eight rebounds.
Alyssa Brems scored 14 points.
