The Aurora University women's basketball team defeated the Rockford University Regents on Tuesday night 77-54. With the victory and led by a trio of double figure scorers in
Mallory Cast,
Bethany Dorrington and
Anna Roszkowski, AU clinched a home Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament game in the tournament that will begin next week.

BEYOND THE BOXAU clinched a home NACC Tournament game for the first time since the 2008-2009 season with the win.
HOW IT HAPPENEDAfter trailing 3-2, AU's
Anna Roszkowski hit a lay-up and following free-throw to give the Spartans the lead which they would not relinquish.
That lay-up started a 13-0 Spartan run, aided by five points each from
Mallory Cast and
Bethany Dorrington.
The Spartans led 23-11 at the end of the first period.
AU continued to click on offense and just before halftime held the largest lead of 22 points before heading into half up 41-20.
Just before the end of the third period, a Roszkowski lay-up gave AU a 30-point lead, 61-31.
At the end of three periods, the Spartans led 61-33.
AU Head Coach
Brittany Carper was able to rest her starters in the fourth period as AU coasted to the 77-54 win.
FOR THE SPARTANSMallory Cast had 19 points.
