The Aurora University Spartans hosted the #3 ranked Eagles of Benedictine University on Wednesday night. An over capacity crowd saw the Spartans have their 10-game win streak snapped as they fell to Benedictine 93-70.

HOW IT HAPPENEDWith just under five minutes gone in the first-half, AU led by one 8-7.
Over the next 2:30 of game time, the Spartans ran off a 12-3 run to take 10 point lead at 20-10 and forced a timeout.
Over the next seven minutes Benedictine went on a 25-6 run to lead 35-26, forcing an AU timeout with 5:24 remaining.
The Spartans would go into halftime trailing 49-36 after a last second three extended the BU lead to 13.
In the second-half, the Spartans would not be able to get the deficit within 14-points as the Eagles saw bounce after bounce go their way.

FOR THE SPARTANSKalmon Stokes led all scorers with 22 points.
Tyler Hall had 20 points.
Chris Fritsch had 14 points and six rebounds.

FOR THE FOESLucas Johnson had a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds.
Tahron Harvey had 15 points and eight rebounds.
