The Aurora University women's basketball team saw their seven game win streak snapped with a 58-53 loss at Milwaukee School of Engineering on Saturday afternoon. A cold shooting second-half did in the Spartans.

HOW IT HAPPENEDThe teams traded leads throughout the first period with the score tied 13-13 at the end of the first.
Leading 18-17 early in the second, the Spartans ran off an 11-2 run to take their biggest lead of the game 29-19 with 3:49 to play.
The Spartans led by eight at halftime 32-24.
In the third period, the Spartans were ice cold from the field, scoring only three points, all from the free-throw line.
The third saw AU go 0-11 from the field with four turnovers as MSOE out-scored the Spartans 17-3 to take a 41-35 lead.
Early in the fourth the Spartans cut the deficit to three but with 6:02 to play, MSOE led by eight, 48-40.
A quick 6-0 run behind a pair of three's from
Mallory Cast brought the Spartans within two.
The Spartans second-half shooting slump found them again though as MSOE held on down the stretch to win 58-53.
