JK Torres found the net to get the Spartans on the board four minutes into the game.
This would be followed by seven unanswered goals by AU with
Bailey Smith scoring three,
Jason Koziol,
Nick Glaser,
Trevor McNamara, and
JD Kettle all scoring for the Spartans.
At the end of the first, AU led 8-3.
Wentworth would open the second period with five goals to tie the score 8-8.

Matt Sammarco along with
JK Torres netting his second of the game would end the half putting Aurora up 10-8.
The Spartans would open the have tallying five goals by
