Spartan move to 4-0 with win over Wentworth Institute of Technology

Box Score The Aurora University men's traveled to Whittier, California where they played the first game of their spring break trip against Wentworth Institute of Technology. AU won the game 19-11 on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Wentworth jumped out to an early 3-0 as the Spartans found themselves in an early hole.
Spartan JK Torres found the net to get the Spartans on the board four minutes into the game.
This would be followed by seven unanswered goals by AU with Bailey Smith scoring three, Jason Koziol, Nick Glaser, Trevor McNamara, and JD Kettle all scoring for the Spartans.
At the end of the first, AU led 8-3.
Wentworth would open the second period with five goals to tie the score 8-8.
Spartan Matt Sammarco along with JK Torres netting his second of the game would end the half putting Aurora up 10-8.
The Spartans would open the have tallying five goals by Trevor McNamara, Nick Glaser, JD Kettle, and two by Bailey Smith.
The Spartan's would keep the scoring going with three more goals from JK Torres, Jason Koziol, and Max Matthai to end the third quarter with AU up 18-8.
Wentworth would answer the scoring three minutes into the 4th but that would be answered by a goal from AU's Alex Gebben.
Wentworth would score two more to make the final score 19-11.
