The Aurora University women's lacrosse team traveled west to Los Angeles, California for the first game of their spring break trip. AU took on Occidental College and lost 22-7 on Monday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENEDOccidental jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead 1:38 into the game.
AU answered back with two goals from
Kenny Hughes to tie the score 2-2 with just five minutes off the game clock.
Occidental then took command of the game, scoring seven straight goals.
Rachel Cochran snapped the run with a goal off an assist from
Lauren Whitfield.
The home team would run off another 7-0 run to end the half and take a 16-3 lead into intermission.
The second half saw a closer played contest with AU being out scored 6 to 4.
Spartan second half goals came from

Andrea Colford, Hughes and
Danielle Morgan.
