The Aurora University men's track team fared well against robust competition at the 2016 Cougar Invitational hosted by Concordia University Chicago. The Spartans placed third out of 23 teams.
The Spartan men had some fantastic individual efforts by athletes who placed first overall in the meet. Sophomore thrower
Brandon Pichen added another phenomenal performance to his season by placing first overall in the hammer throw with a mark of 50.49m. Junior distance runner
Nick Shaw had one of his finest days as a Spartan by winning the men's 5000 meter run with a time of 15:48.
