Offense was on full display as the Aurora University men's basketball team put up a season-high 114 points as they defeated Concordia University Chicago 114-95. The scoring out put is the most for AU since putting up 126 in a 126-95 win over Concordia Chicago last season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The first four minutes of the game saw the Spartans and Cougars trade leads five times.
Concordia Chicago went on a 10-2 run to take their largest lead up 7 with 13:32 left in the first half.
The Spartans got back into the game and with 8:13 to play led 33-32.
At this point the Spartans exploded on a 16-2 run spurred by great three point shooting and defense that forced numerous CUC turnovers.
With 4:25 to go, AU led by 15 at 49-34.
From there the Spartans continued to maintain their substantial lead and went into halftime up 13.
AU came out in the second half the same way they finished the first-half, extending their lead to 20 (76-56) with 13:32 to go. A 10-2 run aided the Spartans in gaining their largest lead of the game.
CUC did answer though with a 13-2 run to cut the lead into single digits at 78-69.
AU's lead remained at or just above 10 until they finished the game on a 13-4 run.
The Spartans closed the game out strong tallying the most points they have scored this season at 114 the previous season high was 106 also against Concordia Chicago.

BEYOND THE BOX
AU has scored 100 points or more in six of the last seven meetings with Concordia Chicago.
Ty Carlson and
Max Vickers led the Spartans in the second half scoring 39 of AU's 55 points.
The pair combined to go 22-of-37 from the field in the game for 60 points (30 each).
AU had 28 assists on 42 made baskets with just nine turnovers.
Matt Dunn had 13 assists to just one turnover.
AU shot 8-of-17 from three-point range in the second-half.
12 of AU's 34 rebounds came on the offensive glass.

Max Vickers led the Spartans with 30 points and nine rebounds.
Ty Carlson recorded 30 points with six rebounds on the night.
Jordan LaGrone had 15 points on five-of-eight shooting from three-point range.
Matt Dunn had nine points and 13 assists.
