The Aurora University baseball and softball programs will partner once again on Saturday, February 11 for Wayside Cross Ministries and the Walk a mile in my shoes fundraiser. A vital part of the event is participants are asked to raise $50 or more to aid women and children, and at-risk youth. The Spartans have a goal of $750 with the hopes of raising well above the desired minimum.
The 2017 event will mark the ninth year for Wayside Cross Ministries with AU baseball having participated in all nine previous walks and the Spartan softball team joining in the last several years. In the 2016 walk, the AU program's combined to raise approximately $1,800.
