The Aurora University women's soccer team were the first to celebrate a senior night on the new Spartan Athletic Park as they did during pregame. AU then dropped a closely played 3-2 decision to visiting MSOE.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- AU recognized their six graduating seniors of
Alexis Bejarano,
Caitlin deRuiter,
Shayla Fleming,
Kaitlin Im Hof,
Beth Robbins and
Alicia Rotolo with a ceremony prior to kickoff.
- Both the Spartans and MSOE traded quality scoring chances in the opening 15 minutes of action with neither being able to fully capitalize.
- 22:08 into the game, AU lit the lamp as
Alexis Abelove buried a shot for a goal following a beautiful pass from
Corynne McEachern.
- Just 56 seconds later, MSOE knotted the game at 1-1 on a long pass that led to a 1v1 with AU goalkeeper
Sammie Gelfand.
- The teams went into halftime tied 1-1.
- Early in the second-half (57:42),
Kelsey King sent a pass to
Alicia Rotolo which Rotolo put into the back of the Raider net. AU led 2-1.
- MSOE tied the game in the 67th minute off a free-kick from Missy Schultz.
- In the 76th minute, a foul called just inside the box awarded MSOE with a penalty-kick. Schultz buried the shot just past the out stretched arms of Gelfand.
- The 3-2 score would stick to the end as AU fell at Spartan Stadium.
